It is with great pleasure in which I introduce myself as Principal of Rancho Verde Highschool. I have been a member of the Val Verde Unified School District since January 2017as an Assistant Principal at Rancho Verde HS. Prior to becoming a part of the amazing VVUSD family, I served 21 years in the Los Angeles Unified School District. I began my career in education as a Middle school teacher. I was in the classroom for just over ten years and then I went into school administration. I have served as an Assistant Principal and Principal at the Middle and High school levels.

I have a strong conviction to educate and support every child to become their very best academically and in character development. As part of Val Verde Unified School District, we are committed to providing 21st Century learning for every student, through our Vision: Rancho Verde High School will foster a culture of success for life-long learning and Mission: To motivate our diverse population to achieve the academic and social skills necessary to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. We strive to ensure each graduating RVHS student embodies the “Portrait of a Graduate” which serves as our North Star.

This school year is going to be amazing! I encourage every student to get involved in our many extracurricular activities including but not limited to, ASB, Link Crew, theater, art, choir, dance, band or sports. Working together with all stakeholders we may support all students to succeed.

I maintain an open-door policy and am eager to hear your thoughts and input regarding the various facets of our school community. Thank you.

I am an East Coast guy that the military brought out here in 1989! I met my wife and stayed, but I still support many of my East Coast teams, Go Bills!! I started working for the district in 2000 and I absolutely love Val Verde! I have taught third through seventh grade, I was an administrator for a couple of years at the elementary level, and now I am excited and honored to be a part of the Mustang Family. I have been nothing but impressed by the students and staff here and I am thankful for this opportunity to serve as an assistant principal. I look forward to meeting you!

I am honored to serve as the Athletic Director at Rancho Verde High School. I have been in education for 13 years, and I’m in my second year here at the Ranch. I have been an Athletic director for the last 8 years, during that time I have served as the league coordinator, scheduler, and CBAADA Rep. Before becoming and athletic director, I taught middle and high school PE, coached varsity softball, varsity baseball and varsity football.

I grew up and went to school in Riverside.  I played baseball for 4 years at Cal Baptist University where I completed my undergraduate, teaching credential, and graduate degree. I also met my beautiful wife Ali at CBU. Ali and I have 5 kids, Twins Madden and McKenna are 11 Years old. Our middle son Kayden is 10, and our twin boys Cooper and Corbin are 8 years old. Yes, that is correct, we have 2 sets of twins.

I always loved being an athlete. I was fortunate enough to have played High School, College, and Professional Baseball.  My athletic career provided me with so many great experiences that without a doubt helped shape the person I am today.   Now as an athletic director, sports continue to be a huge part of my life. I have a chance to help give our student athletes some of those same great experiences.  I am truly grateful for the opportunity to work with the amazing staff and students at Rancho Verde High School. I look forward to helping our programs carry on the long-standing tradition of athletic excellence!

I am honored and proud to serve as the Activities Director of Rancho Verde High School. I have served as a teacher at RVHS for 17 years and have been the Activities Director for the last twelve years at RVHS in the Val Verde Unified School District.

I was born in Fontana, California and grew up on a dairy in Southern California. After high school, I attended the University of California, San Diego, where I majored in English Literature. I obtained my teaching credential from the University of California, Riverside and began my teaching career as high school English teacher here at RVHS. During my years of teaching I have taught 9th and 10thgrade English, Yearbook, ASB, and have served as the Freshman Class advisor, S.A.D.D. club co-advisor, Link Crew co-advisor, Sophomore Class advisor, and Senior Class advisor.  I recently obtained a Masters in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.  My husband Russ and I have two amazing and athletic boys, Caleb and Caden.

My goal is to provide the best experience for our students here at RVHS and to continue to work towards an ongoing positive climate and culture so that the students are proud to graduate from Rancho.  As the Senior Class advisor, it is important to me that our seniors are prepared to not only enjoy their last year here at Rancho, but that they are built up as leaders who will go out and make a difference in the world.  I encourage every student to get involved and to make the very best of these four years!

I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal for Intervention/Attendance at Rancho Verde High School. This is my 28th year in education and 18th at Val Verde USD. I taught for 10 years in elementary school at Lynwood Unified School District. I taught 2nd and 3rd grade while I was there. I taught Computers, Yearbook, Spanish, and was the ASB Adviser at Vista Verde Middle School for majority of the 10 years that I was there. I also enjoyed coaching soccer, basketball, volleyball, and softball during that time. I also coached boys' soccer at RVHS from 2008-2011. I moved on to Student Services at the district office and served there as an Attendance Specialist for 6 years. I am in my second year as an assistant principal and every day is a new adventure. I enjoy interacting with our Rancho Verde Mustangs and hope to motivate each one of them so they can be successful in life! I have always been a firm believer that education is the great equalizer in life. I believe that “if you take care of your education, your education will take care of you.”
