I am honored to serve my third year as an Assistant Principal here Rancho Verde High School.  For the last sixteen years, I have served in several capacities within the Riverside and Val Verde Unified School Districts.

I was born in Los Angeles and moved to Moreno Valley just before my fifth grade year.  I have been a student at Victoriano Elementary, Bethune Elementary, Vista Verde Middle School and Rancho Verde High.

After graduating from Rancho Verde in 1997, I moved on to obtain an Associate of Arts degree from Riverside Community College.  I then transferred to University of California, Riverside and graduated with a BA in English in 2002.  I obtained my Single Subject Teaching Credential in English from Cal State San Bernardino in 2004.  After several years of teaching, I went back to school and graduated with a MA in Educational Leadership and Administration from Chapman University in 2011.

My husband Alex and I are parents to two amazing children, Alex and Lauryn.  My family is supportive of my work and drives me to do my very best in all things.

From 2007 to 2017, I served as an English teacher, Yearbook Adviser, WASC Coordinator and Department Chair here at the Ranch.  In 2015, I left Rancho Verde to become an Instructional Coach at our neighboring Val Verde High School.  There, I supported teachers by providing professional development and assisting with curriculum design.  During the 2017-2018 school year, I returned to Rancho Verde as an Assistant Principal.

I am honored to serve as the Athletic Director at Rancho Verde High School. I have been in education for 13 years, and I’m in my second year here at the Ranch. I have been an Athletic director for the last 8 years, during that time I have served as the league coordinator, scheduler, and CBAADA Rep. Before becoming and athletic director, I taught middle and high school PE, coached varsity softball, varsity baseball and varsity football.

I grew up and went to school in Riverside.  I played baseball for 4 years at Cal Baptist University where I completed my undergraduate, teaching credential, and graduate degree. I also met my beautiful wife Ali at CBU. Ali and I have 5 kids, Twins Madden and McKenna are 11 Years old. Our middle son Kayden is 10, and our twin boys Cooper and Corbin are 8 years old. Yes, that is correct, we have 2 sets of twins.

I always loved being an athlete. I was fortunate enough to have played High School, College, and Professional Baseball.  My athletic career provided me with so many great experiences that without a doubt helped shape the person I am today.   Now as an athletic director, sports continue to be a huge part of my life. I have a chance to help give our student athletes some of those same great experiences.  I am truly grateful for the opportunity to work with the amazing staff and students at Rancho Verde High School. I look forward to helping our programs carry on the long-standing tradition of athletic excellence!
