Hello, Mustangs!

My name is Mrs. Melissa Valdez, and I am the College & Career Technician at Rancho Verde High School. I am excited to welcome you to the College & Career Center and help you explore opportunities, work toward your goals, and prepare for life after high school!

For questions or assistance with community service, scholarships, work permits, college applications, or FAFSA/CADAA applications, please visit us in Room 403. Whether you have a quick question or need help getting started, we are here to support you.

You may also contact me by email at mvaldez@valverde.edu. Emails are monitored daily during normal business hours, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Please allow 24 hours for an email response.

Additional support for seniors is available through CALSOAP. Our College Success Coaches—Jazmine Perez: japerez@roce.us and Arleth Sanchez: arsanchez@rcoe.us—are available Monday–Friday from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM each week to assist with financial aid applications (FAFSA/CADAA), college applications, resumes, and CalKIDS.

We also welcome Mrs. Christina Fernandez: christina.fernandez@ucr.edu from the Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP), who is available in the College & Career Center, Room 403, every Wednesday from 10:00 AM–3:00 PM. She supports students in discussing academic achievement and college preparation and provides regular updates about college admissions deadlines and upcoming events.

EAOP also reaches additional students through partnerships with community organizations, sharing information about college preparation, admissions deadlines, and financial aid online, by email, and by mail.
