Rancho Verde
Rancho Verde High School is one of two comprehensive high schools in the Val Verde Unified School District. The school is situated on 38 acres in the southern section of the City of Moreno Valley, in Riverside County. Rancho Verde High School serves 3,200 students living within the cities of Moreno Valley, Perris, as well as several unincorporated areas of Riverside County. The school is a member of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and now holds a six-year (three year revisit) accreditation, which was evaluated for renewal in the Spring 2010 academic year.
Rancho Verde High School first opened in the fall of 1991. It was designed to accommodate 1,800 students. Two phases of new construction (2001-2003) have added several new buildings and renovated existing buildings on campus. These include: two science buildings, a music/band building, two classroom buildings that are two-story, library, football stadium, gymnasium, dance studio and weight rooms. In addition to Rancho Verde High School, the Val Verde Unified School District is comprised of one continuation high school, four middle schools, fourteen elementary schools, an Student Success Academy and one Head Start Pre-school. The Val Verde District serves 19,450 students.
