Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! We have transitioned to an Online Registration Process. For returning students who have returned textbooks and materials from last school year, completion of the Online Registration directions below will finalize your registration process. You do not need to attend the drive thru registration.
Online Registration Process for Returning Students: (Portal Opens July 27th)
Step 1: Logging In
Make sure you can log into your AERIES Parent Portal account. You may need to reset password if you cannot log in. If you do not have an existing parent account, you will need to obtain your parent access code and student ID number to sign up. To do this, email firstname.lastname@example.org with a copy of your driver’s license, student’s ID number and student’s date of birth.
Step 2: Forms you must sign and upload as a PDF. (Forms included)
- Emergency Card/ Medical History Form
- Affidavit of Residency (choose one of the following):
- A copy of a recent utility bill, must be within the last 30 days (water, gas, or electric bill are the only acceptable proof)
- Mortgage documents with parent name and address
- Property tax document with parent name and address
- Military Housing orders with parent name and address
NOTE: If the utilities are not under your name, you must fill out and upload the Affidavit of Residency document, and include a copy of the homeowner, leaseholder or property owners ID or Driver’s License, whose name appears on such document or bill.
Office personnel will verify and approve all documents. Staff will reach out to you if further information is required. If your student has already returned all checked out materials, congratulations you are done with your 2020-2021 registration.
Paper Packet Registration Process for Returning Students:
We encourage all parents to utilize our easy online process. If this is not possible, a self-service bin containing paper packets and drop box will be located in the front office.Packets will be accessible between the hours of 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM. We will accept packets from 7/27-8/11. Masks and social distancing protocols are required to enter office.
New Students to Val Verde USD:
You completed all necessary documentation when registering at Student Services. Your student will be contacted by a counselor to discuss scheduling. You do not need to attend the drive thru registration.
Drive Thru Registration:
Librarians will be available to check in textbooks and materials from last school year. Office staff will be available to assist parents with documents and questions.
Drive Thru Registration & Materials Return 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- 12th Grade: August 3rd
- 11th Grade: August 4th
- 10th Grade: August 5th
- 9th Grade: August 6th
*Students will not be able to attend class until all appropriate forms are completed.
Our district IT and librarians encourage parents this year to register for Chromebook Insurance using this form. The insurance is $34 for the year. Without this insurance, Chromebook repairs are $50 and a replacement is $200.
